Weather & Emergency Alerts

In the event of adverse weather or emergency situations that require school late starts, early dismissals, or cancellations, the Pleasantville School District will send immediate notice to parents and families.

Dear Pleasantville Students, Parents, and Faculty,

In the event of adverse weather or emergency situations that require school late starts, early dismissals, or cancellations, the Pleasantville School District will send immediate notice to parents and families. The Pleasantville Community School District recommends all parents and guardians sign up for Pleasantville Schools "Remind 101" text message and/or email message for emergency notices. Pleasantville “Remind 101” messages will be sent (to those who sign up) in addition to emergency notices on local TV and radio stations as well as through the District webpage, Facebook and Twitter accounts.

A letter that outlines the process to sign up for Pleasantville Schools "Remind 101" alerts is sent home with every elementary, middle, and high school student.

Remind 101 Instructions

The decision to close or delay school due to inclement weather is a difficult and serious undertaking. At all times, the safety of students is the underlying basis for determining when to cancel school, start late, or send the buses home early.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding when school delays and cancellations occur.

Respectfully,

Tony Aylsworth
